Medical equipment manufacturer, Source-Ray, Inc. has completed
the first two installations of its new DR Upgrade program for
Portable X-Ray Provider; BioTech X-Ray of Creve Coeur Missouri.
Source-Ray’s Digital Upgrades provide an affordable, practical
and convenient solution for Healthcare Professionals
transitioning from CR to DR Technology. SRI Digital Upgrades are
a complete Turn-key solution that includes everything you need
in one easy package.
This
upgrade package utilizes the Samsung 14 x 17 Cesium Digital
Panel which provides excellent image quality with low x-ray dose
and fast exposures. Opal Rad imaging software allows for easy
viewing, enhancing, archiving, printing and sending of image
files. A store away laptop computer, and Tilt Out panel storage
cabinet are provided for easy and safe transportation of both
the digital panel and optional grid adapter.

Inc. announced plans today for a DR Upgrade program for its most
popular model of Portable X-Ray Systems. In addition to the
model SR-130, the company said it will follow with a DR upgrade
package for its flagship model PowerMax 1260.

Moves to New Facility
RONKONKOMA, N.Y. – November 22, 2010
Source-Ray, Inc. announced today that it has completed it’s
planned move to a larger stand alone facility located just
minutes from Long Island MacArthur Airport.
The new facility has more that doubled the manufacturing
capacity, as well other strategic operating functions. This
increased capacity will allow for the continued growth and
development of our Direct Digital product line of portable x-ray
systems.

Source-Ray, Inc. Receives FDA 510(k) Approval for the Model
PowerMax High Frequency Portable X-Ray System
BOHEMIA, N.Y. – July 14, 2009
Source-Ray, Inc. announced today that it has received its 510(k)
approval from the Food & Drug Administration for its model
PowerMax 1260 Portable X-Ray System and will ramp–up production
for immediate product availability.
The PowerMax 1260 provides high power, state of the art
technology, system reliability, and low maintenance all in a
small footprint, lightweight package. Delivering the maximum mR/mAs,
the PowerMax 1260 produces 3kW of power that provides hospital
quality imaging performed anywhere, anytime a portable X-Ray
System is transported to a patient.
The PowerMax 1260 is a 120kV, 15-60mA system. With 3kW of power
across the full range, it can reduce exposure times on difficult
radiographic anatomical views, thereby minimizing patient motion
problems and enhancing image quality.

BOHEMIA, N.Y. – June 1, 2009
Source-Ray, Inc. announced today that it has appointed Doug
Steers to the newly created position of Business Development
Manager. In this capacity, Doug will look to expand current
markets and create new opportunities where we can leverage our
core technologies.
Doug has over 30 years experience in sales, marketing, design
and manufacturing of diagnostic, therapeutic, and industrial
x-ray systems and sub-systems.
Initially, Doug specialized in high frequency, high voltage
power conversion; the core of contemporary x-ray systems. Doug
worked for a number of leading power supply manufacturers before
joining Lorad Medical Systems in the 1980’s where he held a
number of senior level management positions.
Subsequently, Doug provided engineering and marketing support
for world class x-ray system manufacturers, such as Lunar
Corporation (GE), Continental X-Ray, Trex Medical, Del Medical,
EG & G Astrophysics / Pantak, and numerous others.
Doug eventually founded Danbury Engineering Inc., which became
the world’s largest seller of superficial x-ray therapy systems.
Doug has since sold Danbury Engineering, and we are very excited
to have him join our staff as Business Development Manager.
